Are you looking for…
- A church which puts a high priority on Christian education for all ages and encourages the development of an honest and open faith?
- A church that seeks, through the power of faith, action, and fellowship, to be in service to our community and our world?
- A church with a positive perspective that believes God has Good News for your life?
THEN PLEASE READ ON…
Our local congregation is where faith becomes real and concrete.
At St. John’s:
- We stand before God, offering praise and honor to Him in worship
- We work to learn, to grow, and to deepen our understanding through education.
- We experience a community of faith, love, and support through fellowship.
- We are challenged and encouraged to act on our faith through service
|
Our Denomination:
We are one of over 6000 congregations belonging to the UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST. We are a uniting church and the UCC is a union of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Church.
Each individual member brings talents, needs and strengths to the local congregation and to the wider church. A local congregation is self-governing: calling its pastor, setting its budget, choosing a stance on social issues, shaping its programs and engaging in worship.

We welcome you to inquire about the meaning of membership in our church and what it means to be a Christian today.

Your spiritual life will be enhanced as you experience the richness of another person’s pilgrimage. You will gain the strength which comes when you know you are not alone, and the courage to continue your journey of faith in this world; your efforts for the common good will multiply by joining hands and hearts with Jesus and others.
Our special services celebrate:
- The Lenten Season with Devotions
- Good Friday Tenebrae
- Easter Sunrise with breakfast
- The Advent Season
- Christmas Eve by Candlelight
Sacraments celebrated are:
Holy Communion, the first Sunday of each month. We practice an open table.

Baptism, administered to adults and infants after conferring with the Pastor.
